Tip the Scale – A Winter Ale, and Grandpa’s Bootleg – A Scotch Ale

Happy Holidays from your friendly neighborhood brewery! We’re trying something a little different this year and releasing a couple new beers in 22 oz bottles to go. We’re releasing Tip the Scale – A Winter Ale, and Grandpa’s Bootleg – A Scotch Ale (aged 4 months in a Rock River Distillation bourbon barrel). We bottled 20 of the Winter Ale and 100 of the Scotch Ale. The Winter Ale will not be on tap, just in bottles. The Scotch Ale will be on tap in the near future. We’ll post descriptions of each shortly, come down and grab a bottle for you or a gift for someone on your list, cheers!

Grandpa’s Bootleg – A Scotch Al

Our first beer being released in bottles is Grandpa’s Bootleg – A Scotch Ale. This is a beer we have released before but this time it was aged 4 months in a Rock River Distillation bourbon barrel. This beer really picked up the whiskey and oak barrel flavors. At 6.3% ALC/VOL, it’s not overly strong but has a very bold flavor and aroma from the barrel. It will be on tap in the near future but, for now, just in bottles to go. We won’t be filling growlers of it. Come down and grab a bottle, cheers!
